Know The Foundation
Cornerstone Housing Foundation provides end-to-end services in the development, management, and preservation of quality multi-family affordable housing communities across US.
What truly sets us apart is our purpose. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, our success isn’t measured in financial returns, but in the well-being and stability of our residents. Our dedicated team, from our board of directors to our on-site staff, is united by a shared commitment to service, quality, and community. Every decision we make is guided by our goal to empower people and strengthen the neighborhoods we are proud to be a part of.

Our Story
Cornerstone Housing Foundation grew from family roots and a lifetime of observing our local communities in Connecticut. We watched as large-scale, for-profit developers began to dominate the landscape, often relying on repetitive, cookie-cutter designs for multi-family housing that prioritized efficiency over individuality. At the same time, we saw that a stable, dignified home, the very foundation for success, was becoming financially out of reach for too many of our neighbors.
Our story began with the conviction that a different approach was needed. We envisioned a non-profit organization driven by a mission, not by profit margins, that could challenge the one-size-fits-all mentality. Cornerstone was founded to create lasting, high-quality affordable housing solutions that truly serve the community, honoring the dignity of our residents by building not just units, but authentic homes.

Our Mission
Our mission is to build homes and empower futures. We do this by expertly managing every phase of the affordable housing lifecycle, from initial concept and construction to the dedicated long-term management and preservation of our properties. We don’t just build housing units; we create supportive, stable, and well-maintained communities where residents can build a solid foundation for their lives.

01
Affordable Housing Development
Our core mission is the new construction and preservation of high-quality, multi-family homes. We are dedicated to increasing the supply of safe and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families across Connecticut.
02
Community-Centered Approach
We believe that strong homes build strong communities. Our work goes beyond construction to include broader community development activities that help create stable, healthy, and safe neighborhoods for everyone.
03
Non-Profit, Mission-Driven
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our priority is people, not profit. This means every decision is guided by our mission, and all resources are reinvested into our communities and the long-term well-being of our residents.
04
Long-Term Commitment
Our involvement doesn't end when construction is complete. We are committed to the long-term success of our properties through professional, hands-on management and preservation, ensuring they remain high-quality community assets for generations to come.
05
Strategic Partnerships
We understand that solving the housing crisis requires collaboration. We actively partner with local governments, community groups, and other non-profits to create effective and sustainable long-term housing solutions across US.
